Kerry Murphy

Kerry Murphy joined Jones, Swanson, Huddell & Garrison in 2012, after having been practicing law since 2007 in the fields of complex and commercial litigation. As a member of the firm’s commercial litigation team, Kerry handles corporate financial matters, including contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and tax strategy litigation.  In addition, Kerry has assisted firm clients in negotiating and drafting business agreements.  Prior to joining Jones Swanson, Kerry worked for five years with Liskow & Lewis, a regional law firm based in New Orleans, where her practice focused on commercial litigation, including bankruptcy-related litigation and tax litigation.  During that time, she took a leave of absence in order to serve as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Susie Morgan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Kerry graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, cum laude, in 2007, where she served as Senior Note and Comment Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review and worked as a student attorney with the Neighborhood Law Project and the Unemployment Compensation Appeals Clinic.  She received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Villanova University in 2004, where she was a Presidential Scholar and a member of the University Honors Program.
